Tulsa Photographer | Lantern Festival

Last week we took a little road trip to see something absolutely magical! We ventured down to Dallas, Texas to watch over 9,000 lanterns light the dark sky. Before the launch we cozied up to the campfire, toasted marshmallows for s’mores and drew artwork on our lanterns. The lanterns launch as soon as it is pitch black outside (similar to when they set off fireworks) so have patience. This was my first time shooting in pitch black and I absolutely love the magic captured during our evening at the Lantern Fest. Next year the lantern festival will be visiting Tulsa.
